The Curse of Sisyphus – A Story About Futility

The story of Sisyphus is from Greek mythology and it tells the story of a king who dared to trick the gods, especially Zeus.
Sisyphus was a very clever man, but after bringing upon himself the wrath of the gods, he was cursed to push a boulder up a hill to the top. Alas, every time he got to the top, the boulder would roll back down to the bottom of the hill and he was forced to repeat the exercise for eternity.
Just imagine, every day pushing a boulder up a hill and then seeing it roll down the hill. Up, down, up, down. How futile and meaningless?
It sounds sad, but it what so many of us do as well, especially in our careers.
