According to Wilfred Grenfell, “Real joy comes not from ease or riches or from the praise of others, but from doing something worthwhile.”

I don’t know about you, but I know that I fall into the trap of looking for external gratification sometimes.

Doing it because I get paid for it.

Doing it for an audience.

Taking the easy, comfortable road.

Any joy we get from that is very short-lived.

Let’s do something worthwhile.

Not because it’s easy and convenient.

Not because it pays well.

And not for the adulation of the masses.

But for the value of the contribution that we are making to a better world.
