I saw some remarkable footage of a Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagle this evening.

It took off at 9am, flew for over 200km and then landed five hours later.

It didn’t catch anything, it just soared.

It didn’t seem to have a particular route in mind, it just followed the thermals.

It flew, and it flew, and it flew.

And it was wonderful.

We sometimes think it’s a waste if we do something, but don’t get an end result.

Or we wonder what the point is if we cruise with no destination in mind.

But sometimes, you just gotta fly because you can.

Not to achieve a goal, but to get up into the atmosphere.

The view is different up there.

It will change your perspective.

Some things that used to feel important will look small and distant.

Use those wings.

Soar!
