Robert Brault once said,

“Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realise that they were the big things.”

I read this quote and spent a few moments contemplating some of the little things in my life.

Breakfast around the table with the kids.

Walking Dusty (our trusty golden retriever) in the bush out the back of our place.

Talking to my staff about their families and hobbies.

Playing table tennis with the boys.

Driving the kids to their various activities.

Reading and writing at night when the rest of the family has gone to bed.

Cooking new recipes with Madison.

Discussing Christmas shopping ideas with the family.

Making a coffee for Karen in the morning, when she comes home from work and in the evening.

Inviting family over for a casual BBQ.

Yes, Robert is quite right.

These really are the big things.

And yes, I really should be enjoying them more.
