Sometimes, we want a lot out of life, perhaps a little bit too much.

We compare ourselves with others and wonder what we must be doing wrong.

We aspire to great deeds, but the timeframes attached to these expectations can be a little unrealistic.

We want it all and we want it now.

But maybe, we need to reflect for a moment and remember that there’s satisfaction in a good day’s work.

There’s joy in the grind.

There’s comfort in knowing that you’ve made a contribution.

There’s fulfillment in closing the laptop in the knowledge that you’ve made progress.

Don’t crave for something that you may not be able to reach on a daily basis.

Remember that there’s satisfaction in a good day’s work.

I think we’ll be a lot happier when we do.
