I made a decision today at work.

It turns out that it wasn’t quite the right decision.

Some information came up after making that decision, so I made another decision to alter it.

It was slightly embarrassing.  No one wants to be wrong and I’m no exception.

I could have waited longer.

I could have thought about it a bit more.

I could have pondered all of the available options.

I could have consulted a couple of subject matter experts.

But all of that would have been under the guise of procrastinating.

So I made a decision.

Of course, that additional, helpful information wouldn’t have come to light if hadn’t made the original decision.

You can’t steer a ship that’s not moving.

You can’t get it right unless you’re prepared to get it wrong.

So please, just make a decision.
