“How are you coping?”

It’s a question that I hear a lot at the moment.

It seems like a reasonable question.

A lot of people are struggling and anxious at the moment.

They are limping from day to day.

It seems as though they are barely coping.

But we can do better than that.

We don’t have to be victims of our circumstances.

We don’t have to be like a deer in headlights.

Paralysed by fear, not sure what to do next.

Perhaps, instead of aspiring to merely coping, we can aim to thrive.

To get up with purpose.

To be intentional in the positive manner we use with others.

To be thermostats, not thermometers.

So, for you, my question today isn’t how are you coping?

but, how are you thriving?
