We lost a great one today, when basketball legend, Kobe Bryant, was tragically killed at the age of 41 in a helicopter crash.

It was heart-breaking news about an extraordinary and much-admired athlete who was renowned for his insatiable work ethic and focus on success.

Bryant once said,

We can always kind of be average and do what’s normal. I’m not in this to do what’s normal.

And he certainly wasn’t normal.

He was the ultimate professional.

He was one of the hardest working athletes in the game.

He was a ruthless competitor and winner.

He had the confidence to take the big shot and the skill to make it.

He didn’t settle for normal and you don’t have to either.

If you work hard on your craft.

If you always give your best.

If you always believe in your ability to achieve great deeds.

You can rise above average and leave a legacy, just like Kobe did.
