It doesn’t cost a cent to thank someone.

It doesn’t take any time or inconvenience you in any way.

Yes, they may just be doing their job.

What they did may seem insignificant.

But you can still thank them.

The person who served you in the shop.

Your children when that try to help you with the chores at home.

Your staff when they turn up, smile and get stuff done.

It’s more than just a common (or should I say uncommon) courtesy, it’s an opportunity to recognise the people around us who are making a contribution.

So, thank them.

Notice them.

Acknowledge their efforts.

Look them in the eye and mean it.

As I mentioned earlier, it won’t cost you a dime, but it can make a difference to them.
