If you’re a leader, don’t fixate on results and numbers.

Find a way to win the hearts and minds of your staff.

Show that you genuinely care about them (and their families and their cats).

Put the spotlight on their successes and celebrate their wins.

Be passionate about their careers and personal development.

Listen more than you speak.

Show an interest in them each and every day.

Be authentic and vulnerable, allowing them to do the same.

Then, and only then, the results follow.

Not short-term blips on the radar that you may get from an occasional rant or culture of fear.

I’m talking about long-term, sustainable results.

Because that’s what you really should be aiming for.
