Wayne Rooney did it again.

For the third time in his professional career, Rooney managed to kick a goal from beyond the half-way line, with an audacious strike.

How does he do it?

Firstly, he needs to see the opportunity.

Then he needs the courage and confidence to take the shot.

He also needs the technique to get it on target.

And I suppose that a certain amount of strength in his leg is required to hoof the ball that far with such power.

The strength requires hard work and practice.

Developing the technique requires hard work and practice.

The hard work and practice grants courage and confidence.

And guess what? When you work hard and practice, you start to identify opportunities to utilise your skills.

I don;t know what you want to do with your life, but whatever it is, let me encourage you to do it well.

And to do anything well requires hard work and practice.
