Great coaches often say that their teams learn a lot more from a loss than a win.

You learn what you need to improve.

You learn what your opponents did better.

You learn not to make excuses or complain about things you can’t control.

You learn about the spirit of the group during difficult times.

You learn how to pick yourself up off the canvas for the next challenge.

You won’t be successful at everything you attempt, especially if you are continually stretching and challenging yourself.

But if you have the perspective that losing is a great teacher, then you haven’t really lost.
