If you call in sick once, it’s not a habit.

If you speed on the way to work once, it’s not a habit.

If you go to the gym once, it’s not a habit.

But what if you do it twice?

Three times?

Ten?

When does it become a habit?

I’m not entirely sure, but that’s not the point.

The point is, if you don’t want something to become a habit because you know it will hinder you, stop yourself early.

But if you want to establish patterns of behaviour that will hold you in good stead, keep going.
