A couple of nights ago, Seth Godin encouraged his readers to “dance with the fear of contribution.”

It can be scary to make a contribution.

What if others reject your help?

What if you get criticised for your efforts?

What if the reality of the contribution isn’t quite as big as we had hoped?

What if they try to bring you back down to earth?

There is a fear of contribution and relative security in anonymity.

But I’m more afraid of a world in which we don’t make the contribution that we’re capable of.
