Don’t wish that it was the weekend on a Monday morning.

Don’t wish that winter was over.

Don’t wish that your kids were older or past their dreaded teenage years.

Don’t wish that you had finished school.

And don’t wish that you were older, wiser and stronger.

When we wish away our lives, we lose the potential for joy now, the capacity to be happy where we are.

It’s OK to look forward with anticipation, but not so much that you miss out on life.
