There’s a reason why we call the process “building confidence.”
You don’t get it all at once.
You can’t just go down to the shops and buy a jar of it.
It gradually grows over time.
Every time you practice, you build some.
Every time you make a mistake and realise that it isn’t the end of the world, it builds a little bit more.
Every time someone notices you improving, it builds a little bit more.
Every time you are encouraged to keep going, it builds a little bit more.
Every time you look back and see how far you’ve come, it builds a little bit more.
So if you’re feeling low on confidence, don’t expect it to come all at once.
But start building.
