Whether you’re a parent, a leader, a teacher or anyone else in a position of influence, it’s time to catch the people around you doing something right.

It’s easy to catch them doing something wrong.

To focus on the negatives.

To highlight the weaknesses.

But is that really the best way to positively impact and motivate others?

I want to encourage you to look for the good.

To celebrate the successes.

To identify and coach their strengths.

To recognise when they personify the values that you are looking for.

I’m not suggesting that we ignore poor performance in the workplace or stop disciplining our kids.

But I am proposing that we create environments that are positive, generous and fun.

That’s how we influence behaviour.

That’s how we make our corner of the world a better place.
