Like many other teenage boys, my 13-year-old, is absurdly forgetful.

Before we leave for school every morning, there is a checklist to go through.

“Do you have your bag?”  “Yep.”

“Do you have your laptop?”  “Yep.”

“Do you have your blazer?”  “Yep.”

“Do you have your sports uniform?”  “Oh.” Followed by the sound of footsteps to his bedroom.

He needs constant reminding, which whilst frustrating at times, is just the reality for him and his stage of life.

I suspect that we all need a few other reminders as well.

So let me remind you today that you have remarkable skills and the ability to do amazing things.

You are surrounded by people who need what you have to offer.

When you are at your best, the world is a better place.

You are valued and valuable.

I am grateful for your readership and believe that God has a wonderful plan for your life.

And if you ever forget, that’s OK, I’m happy to remind you.
