At church last Sunday, the preacher showed a picture of a hot air balloon that had been tethered to the ground.
It still floated, it still gave the passengers a nice view, but it wasn’t flying as high as it could.
This image describes a lot people.
They’re not stuck on the ground.
They are still higher than they were a year ago.
But they’re not flying as high as they could.
They’re still playing it safe.
Today, I want to encourage you to cut the ropes.
To let go of the habits, attitudes and relationships that are holding your back.
To reach your full potential.
To soar.
I know that there are risks involved, but the risks in staying tied down are much greater.
