In his most recent book, The Last Arrow: Save Nothing for the Next Life, Pastor and writer, Erwin McManus writes:

I do not believe anyone is born average, but I do believe that many of us choose to live a life of mediocrity.

Let that sink in for a moment.

We all were born with unique gifts and talents.

We all have the potential to do wonderful things that make the world a better place.

But do we?

The difference between the average and those who rise above is not their level of talent, it’s what they choose to do with what they have.

And the key word here is “choose.”

You can choose a life of mediocrity or you can make the decision to go for something far grander, far more significant.

And yes, that includes you.
