In most fields there are those at the very top who make what they do look easy.

Despite the complexity and challenge of the tasks they are performing, they float along smoothly.

Roger Federer, Tom Cruise, Jerry Seinfeld, Oprah Winfrey, the list goes on.

It’s easy to become jealous of them and wish that you had that kind of skill, but remember that those who make it look easy have worked relentlessly on their skills to reach that point.

They have taken years to master the fundamentals of their craft.

They have practiced and practiced and practiced until their skills became second nature.

They have done the work, when everyone else was slacking off or taking short-cuts.

They have progressed from awkward to awesome.

Don’t fall for the trap of believing that those who make it look easy are necessarily the most talented and you can never reach that level.

They are the hardest working and there’s nothing stopping you from rolling up the sleeves and joining them.
