A composer imagines a symphony.  She has an idea in her head of what the new piece of music should sound like.

An author imagines a novel.  He has a plot and a few characters in mind.

An architect imagines a building.  He has a concept of the size and functionality of the final piece of work.

But how do you go from concept to reality?

Music doesn’t write itself, neither does a 500 page novel.

And the plans for a building take time to prepare.

Where to start?

With the first note.

With first page.

With the first line.

I don’t know what concept you want to bring to reality, but for some people, the scale of the project can be so daunting that you never even get started.

Today I want to encourage you.

Start small and start today.
