One of the most common attributes of the happiest people in our communities is that they take time to savour the good things in their lives.
They smell the roses.
They stop to observe their kids growing up.
They take photos of others, not themselves.
They take the scenic route.
They smile at their neighbours as they walk past.
They notice the sunsets.
They look up from their phones.
They are easily fascinated.
They read and re-read the best books.
And at the end of the day, after they have noticed and savoured all of these wonderful things that are happening around them, they say “thank you.”
What are you savouring today?
