The Indian poet, Rabindranath Tagore once wrote:
“Spring has passed.
Summer has gone.
Winter is here…
and the song that I meant to sing remains unsung.
For I have spent my days stringing and unstringing my instrument.”
What a wonderful, sober description of a life not lived.
It’s easy to keep ourselves excessively busy.
To fill our lives with meaningless activity.
To be hamsters on a wheel.
To string and unstring your instrument without ever playing a note.
Don’t let that be you.
Do what matters.
Don’t wait until winter comes and it’s too late.
Do it now!
