Do-all-the-good-you-canI recently stumbled upon this extraordinary quote from the great John Wesley:

Do all the good you can.

By all the means you can.

In all the ways you can.

In all the places you can.

At all the times you can.

To all the people you can.

As long as ever you can.

If you’re ever wondering what to do with your life, you can do a lot worse than just follow these instructions.

And if we all lived like this, just imagine what the world would look like.

The more I contemplate this statement, the more I think I have a new motto for my own life.

My prayer now is that I can come close to making this a reality.
