At Memorial Stadium, the home of the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers football team, the following quote is inscribed on the southwest corner of the stadium:
Not the victory but the action;
Not the goal but the game;
In the deed the glory.
It’s a terrific reminder not to get too fixated on the outcome at the expense of the actions that drive success.
It’s a reminder that enjoying the journey is as important as celebrating your wins.
It’s a reminder that even though we can’t guarantee success, we can guarantee effort.
Because in a society that venerates fame and fortune, there is still room for glory in noble, if anonymous, deeds.
Anything that comes from that is a bonus!

Great quote here! It’s so important to remember that it’s not the destination, it’s the journey. Thanks for sharing your insight!
