So, with that in mind, I want to encourage you to do something that makes you feel nervous today.
Introduce yourself to someone new,
Call an old friend,
Launch that blog that you’ve been thinking about,
Ask your boss for a pay rise,
Try a new sport or hobby,
Create some art and show it to someone,
Give your opinion in public,
Suggest an innovation or improvement at work.
It doesn’t really matter what you do, so long as you get the butterflies fluttering around in your stomach and find a way to push past them.
It doesn’t have to be too dramatic and it doesn’t have to be successful, just something that helps you to build your resilience for the future.
And then when you’ve done it once and realised that the world didn’t end, you’ll be more inclined to do something that makes you feel nervous again and again.
