It’s a reminder that I don’t have to strive to be OK with God.
Because no matter how many good deeds I do, nice thoughts I have, donations to charity I give or moral acts I perform it won’t be enough.
But on Good Friday, Jesus died as a sacrifice for my wrongdoings.
And on Easter Sunday, He rose again to win the battle against death.
Romans 8:37 says, “In all things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
The battle is won, so that I don’t have to try to prove myself worthy.
So now, my good deeds aren’t done out of duty, but out of love.
Now I don’t live to be morally right, but to glorify God.
So this Easter and every other day, I say, thank you Jesus, who came not to condemn the world, but to save it.
