Those-who-take-actionOver the years, I’ve coached a lot of people.

At the end of every session, I ask them when they’re going to take action on their goals.

The answers vary.

Some say “immediately.”

Some give a time or date at some stage in the next week or month.

Some hesitate to answer and are non-committal.

This is what I’ve learned.

Those who take action immediately are infinitely more likely to be successful than those who wait.

If you have an idea, or think that you should call someone, or sense that you should do something, just do it.

Take action, make the call, do what you need to do.

And do it now.

I’m not talking about just acting on every whim that you have.

It’s important to stay disciplined and focused rather than be distracted by every random, trivial thought like a spaniel chasing a piece of paper on a windy day.

But there are times when you know what the right thing to do is.

You know what you must do next.

In those moments, don’t hesitate, don’t put it off until tomorrow.

Because the best time to take action is right now!
