If-you-go-into-theJohn McEwen was the Prime Minister of Australia for just 23 days in the late 1960’s.  Orphaned at the age of 7, young Jack was raised by his grandmother who gave him this piece of advice:

“If you go into the church, become an archbishop.

If you go into the army, become a general.

If you go into politics, become Prime Minister.”

It proved to be a prophetic piece of advice, even if it was for only just over 3 weeks.

I don’t know what you do, but let me encourage you today to do it for the best of your abilities.

Aspire to greatness.

Push yourself to be your very best.

Never stop learning.

Don’t settle.

Be passionate.

Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart.”

I suspect that McEwen’s grandmother would have liked that verse.
