Aim-for-the-moon-and-ifIt’s possible that you may not achieve all of your goals during your lifetime.

Perhaps you’ve set the bar too high.

Or maybe there were circumstances beyond your control.

You might try really hard and fail spectacularly.

For some people, their goals may not have been aligned with their talents, making it an uphill battle from the start.

It’s even possible that you were just unlucky and didn’t get the breaks that you needed to succeed.

However, I believe that you’re better off having great goals that you miss, than to not aspire to anything at all.

You’re better off working hard and not quite getting there, than doing nothing with your life.

W. Clement Stone once said, “Aim for the moon and if you miss you’ll land among the stars.”

And then it was Zig Ziglar who said, “If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it every time.”

You may not achieve everything that you want to, but you will achieve something.

And the mild disappointment that you experience will be far less than the regret you feel when you realise that you’ve wasted your life aspiring to nothing.
