At Christmas, I am reminded of the risk that God took.
He sent His Son as a baby, to be raised by a young couple who became refugees due to King Herod’s paranoia.
Can you imagine that?
His plan to redeem humanity could have gone terribly wrong if Mary and Joseph were neglectful or abusive parents.
But they did their part so that Jesus could do His.
It’s important to remember that the risk that God took didn’t end with Mary and Joseph.
Today, He has a plan for humanity that is reliant upon you playing your part and fulfilling your purpose.
He calls us each to live in obedience, faith and love.
Ephesians 2:6 says, “He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work He does, the good work He has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.” (The Message)
As all powerful God, He could do it Himself, but He takes a risk and chooses His people to complete the mission that He has called them to.
Will you do it?
Will you make His risk worthwhile?
