In the past couple of days, the world lost a giant of a man when preacher and motivational speaker Dr Myles Munroe was tragically killed in a plane crash in his native Bahamas.
He was an extraordinary individual who dedicated his life to inspiring people to maximise their God-given gifts and live their best lives.
One of his best known quotes was:
“The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without a purpose.”
So let me ask you today, what is your purpose and are you living it?
Because it’s tempting to live an insignificant life.
It’s easy to float through life without making an impact.
It’s safe to do the bare minimum.
But I suspect that it’s also tragic.
Thankfully it’s never too late to get started.
So if you don’t know what your purpose is, make it your mission to find it.
And if you know it but aren’t living it yet, get started today.
Dr Munroe also said, “You must decide if you are going to rob the world or bless it with the rich, valuable, potent, untapped resources locked away within you.”
I’m grateful for people like Dr Munroe who blessed us with his talents and pray that we all (myself included) are able to do the same in our own unique way.

For a number of years, I attempted to find my true purpose in life. I knew that God had a plan for me, but for some strange reason, I didn’t know how to receive His message. I quickly became a “jack of all trades and master of none”. For some time, it was nice to be known as the “go to” person, but my heart was not satisfied with this title. I yearned to have my own specialty and not be identified as a “general” human being. The worse thing to do is to compare yourself to others, but that’s exactly what I did. My counterparts seemed to be flourishing in all aspects of their life. I would ask, “What about me God?”
Ask and you shall receive. As I began to reflect back over my life there was one constant – my desire to help other people. WOW! That was my A-Ya moment. I began to pray and ask God to please use me as His vessel and I would follow His lead. Today I am the creator of a life coaching practice lovingly and spiritually known as HelpMate. I am passionate about helping people to overcome their challenges, face, their fears, and improve their quality of life!
