One day, you will look back on everything that you’ve done.

You’ll be glad that you persisted through the hard times.

You’ll be glad that you never stopped learning.

You’ll be glad that you laughed more than you worried.

You’ll be glad that you were disciplined when others were taking the easy option.

You’ll be glad that you stayed connected to others along the way.

You’ll be glad that you took risks and ventured from the shallow end of the pool.

You’ll be glad that you considered the long-term consequences of your actions and words, rather than the short-term benefits.

You’ll be amazed by your remarkable achievements and wonder how you could have done so much with your life.

And you’ll grab your loved one, look them in the eye and say, “We did it and it was a hell of a ride!”
