I recently watched an interview with Australian country singer, Keith Urban, and he was asked if he ever had a plan B or if being a professional musician was his only option in life.

He responded, “If the dream is real, it’s uncrushable.”

What a great reminder.

If you have a dream, a goal or an aspiration, don’t let yourself be discouraged by setbacks or criticism.

If there is an idea or product that you want to create, don’t give up after one or two (or 500) prototypes that don’t work.

If you are enthusiastic about something, don’t let anything extinguish the flames of passion that will drive you towards success.

And if you believe that you’ve been placed on this planet for a reason, don’t compromise, don’t get distracted and don’t allow yourself to fall into the trap of living a more logical and less significant life.

Calvin Coolidge once said, “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not… nothing is more common than unsuccessful people will talent. Genius will not… unrewarded genius is almost legendary. Education will not… the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”

So hold on to your dreams.

Write them down and re-visit them often.

If you’ve gone off-track or lost hope, remember that it’s not too late and you can start again.

And let me encourage you to find the will and courage required to take the action you need to bring your dreams to reality.

Because if the dream is real, it’s uncrushable!
