Do you lose your temper quickly?

Do you catch yourself singing or whistling happy tunes spontaneously?

Do you complain often that life has been unfair?

Do you encourage the efforts of others with enthusiasm and generosity?

Whatever’s inside you will eventually spill over.

You can’t get way from it and you can’t avoid it.

You can try to ignore it, but it will find a way to escape and be revealed to the world whether you like it or not.

So let me ask you, what are you filling yourself up with?

What are you spending your time reading?

What sort of friends are you hanging out with?

When everything’s quiet and there’s only you and your thoughts, what are you meditating on?

Are you filling yourself up with joy and allowing it to spill over to those around you?

Are you filling yourself up with negativity and letting that overflow?

Are you filling yourself up with love?

Or hate?

Compassion?

Indifference?

Enthusiasm?

Hope?

1 Thessalonians 3:12 says, “May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.”

Let me repeat, whatever you fill yourself up with will eventually overflow.

It will impact the people around you and influence people’s perspective of you.

And if you get it right, what you fill yourself up with will give you the capacity to make a significant difference in the world.
