Do you want to come first, or are you content not to come last?

Do you want to make something magnificent, or are you content not to do something stupid?

Do you want to be great, or are you content not to be average?

Do you want to inspire others to greatness, or are you content to hide from view?

Do you want to become a genuine expert in your field, or are you content to be protected from criticism?

Do you want to make brilliant art, or are you content to colour within the lines?

Do you want to keep pushing yourself to loftier heights and greater deeds, or are you content to be comfortable?

Do you want to make the world a better place, or are you content with complaining about its deficiencies?

Do you want to win, or are you content not to lose?

Because if you aim to win, you give yourself a chance of winning.

But if you’re content with not losing, you’ve probably already lost!
