Some back-up singers have amazing voices.
They are talented vocalists, with just as much ability as those in the front.
But they never seem to make it to the microphone in the spotlight.
It’s never their name headlining the concert, their face on the album cover, their name that everyone’s chanting.
And after a few years of singing back-up, they think that this is all there is.
Their dreams get a little bit smaller, their ambition is diminished.
In this world, there are a lot of back-up singer equivalents.
They come in the form of assistant managers, associates, second in commands and co-pilots.
They have undoubted talent and everyone close to them tells them that they can make it to the next level.
But as the years pass, they begin to doubt if that will ever happen, so they settle in and get comfortable in their role in the background.
So comfortable that they are happy to stay where they are, perhaps not even applying when the chance comes to step up.
If that’s you, let me encourage you today that you don’t have to be a back-up singer forever.
Don’t give up on your dream or settle for second best.
Keep working on your craft and keep looking for chances to step up.
One day it could be your name on the billboard.

Great post! Before I used to be a back up singer until my husband encourage me to step up because he believes that I can do more. Sometimes we just need someone to encourage and support us to reveal whats inside us.
