In this Knowledge Age that we live in, it’s never been easier to build an audience.
It could be through a blog, a YouTube video or a Facebook page, but there are a whole range of ways to connect with people from all over the world, most of which didn’t even exist only a decade ago.
Some people will give you tips and hints on how to build your audience.
That’s not the purpose of this blog.
Some people will tell you how to make money from your audience.
That’s not the purpose of this blog.
I just want to ask you a question.
Once you have your audience, what are you going to do with it?
There’s enough fluff, negativity and flagrant self-promotion out there.
We need more people who can add value, who can share great ideas and can encourage others to great heights.
We need more experts in their fields who are willing to equip others.
We need more positive messages of hope that help to lift others out of their situation and into a more resourceful state.
It’s never been easier to build an audience.
So this isn’t about getting more attention, that’s the easy part.
It’s about how you’re going to use it to make the world a better place.

Well put. I often say I wish facebook had existed when I stayed home from work for babies…I felt so isolated, and calls were rarely in sync with an opportune time for one person or the other. Remembering those feelings I find that facebook gives me the opportunity to “be there” for friends who are far away and often lonely, who reach out hoping someone will encourage them…or applaud them…or simply acknowledge them. I love the way people I have met in my travels are able to interact with people from my home, work and schools, etc. That everyone can have a say. I try to use my space for open dialogues about multiple issues to keep us all in tune about what is going on in our own lives and the world around us. And to send positive energy…and hope.

Isn’t the internet just another way to communicate between people, to keep giving to others and then we will be given even more in return?
Once I have an audience (more than the 2 crickets that are chirping at the moment), I am going to pass on my knowledge to them on how to have a better working life.
And when some new technology comes along I am going to use that to give even more.
Rumour has it that someone has invented something where humans talk to each other face to face. However, I can’t believe that, but you never know!!!
