This is the 500th post on the Better Life Coaching Blog.

It’s a big milestone for me and I can’t believe that it’s come so quickly.  This blog has been going for almost two years now and it’s been quite a ride.

When I first started blogging, I couldn’t have imagined writing so consistently or reaching such a large audience.  If only my high school English teacher could see me now.

My aim when I started this website was to inspire, encourage and equip others.

What I didn’t realise was that I would be inspired and encouraged by my readers, in what has been a truly amazing journey so far.

In reaching 500 posts, here are a couple of things that I’ve learned along the way:

  • If you’re passionate about something, you’ll find a way to get it done.  Sometimes, it’s a challenge to come up with ideas and do the work to write them up, but because I’m genuinely excited about the ideas and concepts that I’m sharing, the work keeps getting churned out.
  • I’ve still got a lot to learn.  I read a lot of other blogs and I’m constantly inspired by some of the amazing writers that I come across.  Compared to the work of others, I’ve still got a long way to go, but hopefully I’m making progress.
  • One person can make a difference.  This blog may be relatively small in comparison with some of the other amazing sites out there, but I’m confident that I’ve been able to bring some encouragement and optimism to a world that desperately needs it.
  • Life rewards action.  I had the idea to write this blog many months before starting it, but I wouldn’t have had such a personally rewarding experience if I hadn’t taken action on the idea.

Thanks to everyone who has supported the Better Life Coaching Blog.  Whether you’ve been with me since post number 1 or number 499, I appreciate you and don’t take you for granted.

I pray that I am hitting the target in inspiring, encouraging and equipping others and hope that I can continue to do so for another 500 posts.

Sorry if this has been a slightly self-indulgent post, so enough from me and over to you.

Is there a particular subject that you would like to see more or less of?

And is there a favourite post from the last 499 that stands out for you?
