Over the last couple of years, we’ve lost some great leaders and thinkers.
Inspirational and influential people such as Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, Bryce Courtenay, Stephen Covey, Jim Stynes and John Wooden have all passed away recently.
In addition, people like Nelson Mandela and Billy Graham are well into their 90′s and may be leaving us soon.
As we mourn the loss of such great people, I can’t help but think that we need reinforcements.
We need others to stand up and take their place.
We need revolutionary and innovative thinkers who challenge the status quo.
We need leaders who inspire and empower those around them to be their best.
We need compassionate luminaries who speak up for the oppressed, reach out to the isolated and act in love towards those who need help.
None of the above named people were born great, but they chose greatness and lived truly remarkable lives.
And now they’re gone.
So we need reinforcements.
We need you!

This is the kind of thing I am working towards doing with my life as a Priestess. Someone once said to me, “You have a very Altruistic point of view. I like that”. I had to look it up to remind myself what it meant and it fits me to a “T” in how I feel and believe when it comes to our community, society and the world. I also try to help teach positive things through my blog and encourage people to act with “Greatness” or to rise above the norm or their Egos.
I’d like to think I’m off to a pretty good start, but only the legacy I leave behind will tell for certain I suppose the impact that I have on others…unless someone tells me. Thank you for sharing such a positive post Darren, if not a little sad (since we are losing those individuals
).
