Sometimes, when I look at the mountains, I am inspired as I wonder what the view must be like from there and feel compelled to climb them.
Sometimes, when I look at the mountains, the clouds hide the summit and I am reminded that I often can’t see the end point of my journey, but that should never stop me from taking action now because the summit gets clearer as I get closer.
Sometimes, when I look at the mountains, I am humbled as I realise again how small I am when compared with God’s creation.
Sometimes, when I look at the mountains, I am daunted by their size and magnitude and wonder if I could reach the top even if I tried my best.
And sometimes, when I look at the mountains, I am grateful that life isn’t just valleys or plateaus, but there are high moments to be remembered and appreciated.
Then I look at the goals and aspirations that I have for my life and am simultaneously inspired, clouded, humbled, daunted and grateful.
And I resolve myself again to climb that mountain.
